What does it mean to have a family?

A family supports each other no matter what occurs. Belonging to a family holds the meaning, to love each other no matter what predicaments arise. The constant disagreements in some families express that the members care nothing for each other, but that circumstance proves false when they remain at each other’s sides.

The term family defines itself, exhibiting that even through obstacles and challenges, people hold the belief that only death stands as the only way for separation. The phrase, ¨till death, do us part” stands not only for a couple, but also for an entire family. Remaining together, no matter what occurs and no matter the consequence that follows, honestly defines a family.

Family members hold true to each other, never forsaking one another. They accept each other´s qualities, building both their morale and character and their own. They teach themselves and their siblings the true meaning of love and family.

Forgiveness reinforces a major stronghold within a family, allowing for one family member to express his or her opinions, separately from the general opinion beliefs. They judge not each other, but anyone that belittles their family member´s belief. This reflects the ideal standard that a family upholds each other.

Pets even connect as family members, bringing joy to humans and other animals. They bond into the family owing to the affection that they give and draw from a human. Humans rely on their pets in needy times or sadness, knowing that they never fail to comfort them.

Families must sparkle with resilience when living with one another because it binds the family closer together, a bind that draws strength from its members and reciprocally gives it back to them. With obstacles or setbacks, whether from relationships or financial discrepancies, siblings provide an open heart, never allowing another in the family to falter.

What does it mean to have a family?

The word ¨family¨–existing not as a term in the dictionary, but as a bond between many in the world.

Indeed. A holy bond.
