Venice Italy: A City with Rich Heritage and Exhilarating Culture!

Beautiful architecture, wonderful artwork, and a lovely place for romance, “The City of Bridges” describes Venice, Italy perfectly. Riding the gondolas along the mouths of the Po and Piave Rivers, surely stands as a sight to see and a feeling to experience!

Basilica of St. Mark represents one of the most famous churches in Venice because of its opulent ornamentation. Right off the Grand Canal, this church shares a good deal of history. Byzantines built the church in 828 A.D. and decorated it with Romanesque Gothic art, but later a number of unknown artists painted and sculpted a wide range of artwork in the famous church during the Middle Ages.

Italy has quite a selection of art museums and exhibits to discover and explore while traveling in Venice. Basilica of St. Mark, Doge’s Palace, Venice Academy Gallery Museum of Art, Basilica dei Frari, Punta Della Dogana Museum of Contemporary Art, plus many other art and museum exhibits that tourists can visit. While travelers explore these art exhibits and museums, they can also gormandize a scrumptious meal as well!

Venice has several recipes that locals commonly cook and serve, keeping their heritage and customs. Instead of purchasing and eating pizza or spaghetti, visitors should try some authentic Italian recipes, such as frittole, galani, baccalá mantecato, cicheti, and possibly even cooked cuttlefish if they feel adventurous! A few of these culinary traditions cooked in this marvelous city date all the way back to between the fourteenth to sixteenth centuries.

Venice Italy has plenty of activities for everyone to engage in, especially copious, cultural foods to sample and several, native sites to see . Visitors can explore all of the beautiful scenery surrounding this city, and sit and relax in a gondola, while it travels and floats down the rivers.
