Amsterdam, one of the most beautiful places to visit, attracts tourists from all over the world. From the old time look, to the delicious food, it includes many lovely attractions. Featuring the Anne Frank house and the Van Gogh Museum, visitors will never run out of art to see.

For more than two years, Anne Frank and her family stayed in the building’s annex at Prinsengracht 263. Her father Otto Frank also had a business there. The Van Pels family and Fritx Pfeffer lived there as well, and the annex door, hidden behind a portable bookshelf, kept them hidden from the Nazis.

Tourists can visit this historic place still to this day, and though it remains empty, visitors still can observe and reflect upon that time period. On August 4th, 1944, once the Nazis discovered their hiding place, they sent Anne Frank’s family and friends to various concentration camps and only Otto Frank survived the war.

The Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam holds the world record for the world’s largest collection of the most famous art work painted by Van Gogh. From drawings, to paintings, to letters, tourists will find anything he has created here. Every year, at least 1.6 million tourists visit the museum, which makes it one of the world’s most popular attractions.

Dam square, also known as a town square in Amsterdam, operates as Netherlands’ capital. The non-stop events taking place here makes it one of the best, well known locations in the city and the country.

Founded in 1800, originally located in the Royal Palace and relocated to Amsterdam in 1808, the Rijksmuseum (English: National Museum) remains as a Dutch museum which people have dedicated to arts and history throughout Amsterdam. Displaying 8,000 objects of art and history, the museum has a total collection of over one million items.

If tourists would like to see spectacular art and monumental houses, Amsterdam ranks as one of the best places to visit!
