Best known for his silent-era films, some may call Charlie Spencer Chaplin the most experienced in the film making industry during his time. He has held positions of director, editor, writer, producer, and actor. Chaplin’s legacy continues presently through the film making industry, and his astounding work still  gives audiences remarkable feelings without utilizing words.

Born in England and raised in the industry. Charlie’s acting and singing parents raised him, his father working as an adaptable actor and vocalist, his mother portraying a charismatic actress and opera singer. Although he lost both parents at age ten, forcing him and his brother to support each other, still he survived his difficulties. As a star with natural talent, his wonderful skills earned him a decent living, and at age twelve, his career only beginning, appearing on several small stage shows, his career excelled quickly.

Appearing on shows like “Sherlock Holmes”, Chaplin’s opportunities gave him experience to grow into a magnificent comedian, and later, he moved to the United States to pursue his dreams. The United States film industry propelled Charlie’s career like he never imagined, showing his multi film industry talents.

Working as a director, keeping the audience entertained every second, Charlie Chaplin diligently created a spectacular show every time. He soon grew into one of the most demanding film industry directors, creating each show as if it represented his last, walking through each person’s part on the show, constantly improving details, shaping and perfecting it.

Many know Charlie Chaplin as the “father of silent films”, having so many film industry contributions, bridging the gap between reality and fantasy, while resisting audio sound in movies. Each silent film kept audiences full with emotion, both laughing and weeping, as Charlie knew how to characterize actors. Although known for the silent movie era, Charlie Chaplin still earned many achievements, working in all film industry areas.

Charlie will always have a place in viewer’s hearts; if not from the famously worn mustache, hat, and cane, then from the happiness, laughter, and love felt through each show.
