Welcome everyone for school year 2016-2017 after a busy summer! In this exciting, new year, New Caney High School has many excellent opportunities and challenges for students and staff!

Every time I meet with working teachers and business professionals, they all speak about the requirement for clear and concise writing skills. Not only do college professors require it, but also business professionals demand it. Elegant, formal writing training, so urgently needed in high schools, will always function as a critical skill for college excellence and job success.

Eagle Times Bulletin featured a wide variety of articles last year, such as college profiles, cultural events, and interesting people who have shaped American society. Similar to previous years, students enrolled in the Ind. Study in English class will continue writing fresh and lively articles on different subjects that readers will find both engaging and interesting.

As Principal David Loyacano and Dean of Instruction Susan Hoisington lead instruction at NCHS, they have added many innovative programs and improved current ones this year for both  students and teachers. Under their strong guidance, New Caney High School will rank at the top of all schools in the 21st century with superb instruction, advanced technology, and a visionary plan for the school’s continued future success. All the business professionals and college educators I meet implore me to importune all students to practice their writing skills daily to exalt their literacy levels.

As Eagle Time’s Editor in Chief, all articles published by students will reflect their personal views, yet will rank top quality and rouse reader interest. The Ind. Study in English class trains students to write at a mature, elegant, and formal level to improve their writing skills, which will transfer to their current high school classes, their upcoming college studies, and their professional future career. To write clearly and to write effectively means better communication, and better communication produces a more productive, intelligent, and enlightened person.

An ignorant person destroys the world and makes it a living hell, but an enlightened person constructively improves the world and makes it a glorious place to live! To make the world better, people should appreciate that all true wisdom and good work begins with exalted reading and incisive writing skills!

The staff and I would truly enjoy hearing from you! Feel free to write, suggest, and comment at any time!
